The Aleph Residences
Aleph Residences is a waterfront residential building in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, developed by Faena Group and designed by Foster + Partners. It reinterprets local housing typologies through patios and deep terraces, using operable screens to balance light, privacy, and natural ventilation.
Part of the transformation of Puerto Madero and the broader Faena District, Aleph Residences brings a contemporary approach to Buenos Aires’ tradition of courtyard living. The apartments combine double-height patios and split-level spaces, with vaulted interiors and sliding, bronzed openings that enhance daylight and cross-ventilation while maintaining privacy.
A system of deep, sheltered terraces extends the living areas outward—promoting outdoor living and capturing long views—while the façade’s movable shading elements provide climatic control and a calm, refined identity for the building.
