Carrasco Polo

Masterplan for the adjacent lands of the historic Club Carrasco Polo in Carrasco, Montevideo. A set of urban interventions to strengthen the area and the club, combining a predominantly residential fabric with a commercial component that serves both.

This masterplan transforms the lands surrounding the historic Club Carrasco Polo into a coherent district that amplifies both the neighborhood and the club. The proposal is driven by precise urban moves: a connected network of public space, landscape, and improved access that reinforces the area’s identity and creates a clear transition between residential life and the polo grounds.

The development is primarily residential, with typologies calibrated to Carrasco’s scale and designed to benefit from openness, views, and generous green edges. A strategically placed commercial component acts as an active interface—providing daily services and local life for residents while supporting the club’s operation on event days with food, retail, and gathering spaces. The result is an integrated masterplan where housing, public realm, and equestrian culture reinforce one another over time.
